Battle Scars

Battle Scars is the 2021 collection that aims to examine the idea of war and those affected by war worldwide. By utilizing Vintage Military surplus, handmade patches were sewn on with Lightning stitching to symbolize the rebellious attitude of those forced to fight, inspired by American Soldiers in the Vietnam war. On the patches are reworked Punk posters, political propaganda, and images of various soldiers and people affected by war. The patches are specially made so that when the garment is washed, colors will bleed from them, metaphorically showing the "True colors" of war and its effects. Battle Scars serves as a testament to those forced to fight and those affected by conflict.
